- Minimum Age Requirement: Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Imag!n. Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to access the app.
- Age Verification: During registration, users are required to provide their date of birth. Accounts for users under 13 will not be created.
2. Privacy and Data Protection
- No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect any personal data from our users. All account details, including your Stellar account and 24-word recovery secret, are stored exclusively on your device. We do not have access to this information.
- Profile Visibility: Your profile information (name, bio, website URL, and avatar) is stored on the IPFS network and is visible to all app users. However, this information does not include personally identifiable data beyond what you choose to share.
- Data Retention: Profile data is “pinned” for 90 days, after which it may be deleted. User posts are also visible for 90 days before being removed from our servers. Note that data may persist on the IPFS network even after removal from our servers.
3. Content Moderation
- Prohibited Content: We do not tolerate offensive, abusive, sexually explicit, or discriminatory content. Users are expected to respect the privacy and rights of others.
- Post Limits: To prevent spamming, users are limited to 9 posts. This ensures a balanced and respectful sharing environment.
- Reporting Mechanisms: Users can report inappropriate content or behavior. Violations of our Community Guidelines may result in account suspension or termination.
4. User Interactions and Safety
- Respectful Behavior: Users are expected to treat others with respect and kindness. Harassment, bullying, or any form of harmful behavior is strictly prohibited.
- Private Follow Lists: The accounts you follow are stored privately on your device and are not shared with others. Do not pressure others to follow or be followed by specific users.
- Heart Feature: The “heart” feature is intended to show appreciation for posts. Misuse or manipulation of this feature is not allowed.
5. Account Security
- User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your 24-word recovery secret. Do not share this information with anyone.
- Stellar Account Balance: Your Stellar account is initiated with a balance of 3 Lumens to facilitate app functionality. It is your responsibility to maintain this balance for features like posting and sending hearts to work properly.
6. Educational Resources
- Safety Tips: We encourage users to educate themselves about online safety, including protecting their privacy and securing their accounts.
- Parental Guidance: Parents or guardians of users under 18 should ensure their children understand the importance of responsible online behavior.
7. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
- COPPA Compliance: We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, which governs the collection of personal information from children under 13.
- GDPR-K Compliance: For users in the European Union, we adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its provisions for children under 16.
- Other Jurisdictions: We follow local laws and regulations related to child safety and data protection in all regions where Imag!n is available.
